First stop in Morocco: arriving at Tahadart by motorhome

After crossing the strait, many travellers look for a quiet first stop. Some practical pointers.

Travellers coming from Europe by motorhome most often cross the Strait of Gibraltar by ferry, to the port of Tanger Med or Tanger Ville. Once the formalities are done, the road south begins.

A first stop on the N1

Tahadart lies on the N1 national road, between Tangier and Asilah. For many, it is a first night in Morocco; for others, the last before catching the boat home.

Before you set off

Check your exact route on Google Maps and let us know when you are arriving, especially if it will be late: we confirm arrivals by phone or WhatsApp.

The campsite's main toilet and shower block is being renovated; equipped temporary showers are available during the works. We would rather tell you before you arrive.
